What actually matters here
Electronics on an agent are a different risk class from clothing: a hoodie that is 90% right is wearable, an earbud that is 90% right is e-waste. Treat every tech listing as untested inventory — ask the warehouse to power the item on and photograph it running before approving shipment. That single step filters most of the category's failures.
Battery claims are the least verifiable spec in this channel. Whatever the listing says, assume real-world battery life is a fraction of it, and price the item as if that is true. If it arrives better, that is a bonus — planning on it is how people overpay here.
QC checklist — what to ask for before it ships
- Item powered on and photographed running before shipping approval
- All accessories and cables in one frame, counted against the listing
- Serial/model sticker close-up — mismatched stickers flag reshelled units
- Charging port close-up: crooked ports are assembly-line rejects
